Accessibility
Built to be used, not just to look built.
What we check, what we cannot check, and who to call when the site gets in your way.
What is checked on every build
These are not aspirations. Each one stops the site from being published if it fails:
- Text and background colors meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast, checked with transparency composited rather than assumed.
- Every image carries alternative text, or is marked decorative.
- Headings run in order, with exactly one page title per page, so navigating by heading actually describes the page.
- Anything that scrolls sideways can be reached and scrolled with a keyboard.
- Every page declares its language and has a real title.
How it is built
Ordinary links and ordinary buttons, in the order they are read. Everything works with a keyboard alone, and nothing important depends on JavaScript. With scripts blocked the whole site still reads and navigates, and the material comparison still opens. Motion respects your system's reduced-motion setting: turn it on and the animations stop.
What we cannot promise
We have tested with keyboard navigation, at 200% zoom, and against automated structural checks. We have not tested with every screen reader and browser combination in use, and automated checks cannot tell whether a sentence makes sense when read aloud. If something here does not work for you, that is a fault worth hearing about rather than a limit you should have to work around.
Tell us
Call whichever store is closer and say what happened: D&D Flooring in Gardendale on (205) 285-8855, or AL-GA Carpet in Cordova on (205) 221-7271. You can also buy flooring entirely by phone or in the showroom; the website is never the only route.
